Sgt Brian McMillan was from Whiteville, NC. He attended Basic Law Enforcement at Southeastern Community College and started his law enforcement career at Columbus County Sheriffs Office. While at Columbus County SO. he worked as a School Resource Office for one year, Patrol division and before leaving, he was on the Traffic Unit.
In 2015, McMillan began working at Brunswick County Sheriffs Office, were he has worked on the Patrol Division, Detective Division, Narcotic Division and is currently a Sgt over the Traffic Unit. He is also the county Coordinator for Government Highway Safety Program.
He has attended the the Northwestern University 80-hr Motor Officer certification. He is certified in Radar and Lidar operations as well as Standardized Field Sobriety testing.(also an Instructor in SFST)
