Cpl. Bramley moved to Wilmington from Apex, NC in 2005 to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In 2007 he joined the Wilmington Police Department as a cadet while completing his bachelor's degree, then completed Basic Law Enforcement Training and became a full-time sworn officer. He has served in the Northwest and Southeast Patrol Divisions and the Special Operations Division, and in 2018 transferred to the Traffic Unit after completing the 80-hour Northwestern University Motor Officer certification. Cpl. Bramley is certified in Radar and LIDAR operations, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (and as a SFST instructor), Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement, Traffic Crash and Motorcycle/Pedestrian Reconstruction, and holds certifications as a Drug Recognition Expert Instructor (DRE), General Instructor, Field Training Officer, and Police Motorcycle Instructor.
